Laura was invited to attend her sister's wedding, so I decided to travel from Argentina to her hometown in Spain to attend the wedding with her two children. The events change after her arrival, when the eldest daughter was kidnapped during the ceremony. Everything began to turn into sadness and tension, and perhaps there will be different family and community tensions that reveal many challenges and family secrets.
A carefully performed and elegantly crafted thriller about the poisonous power of secrets that delivers all of the answers the audience wants, while making it clear they're less important than what's going on inside the character's muddled heads.
It's interesting to see how Fahardi's grasp of intricate human interaction translates to a more open, expressive culture. Everybody Knows teems with life lived in the moment, even if the destination is less compelling than the journey.
